π― Objective
Validate that Phase 1 signal output is actionable under real market conditions with real money.
No simulations. No paper trading. One live setup, one execution, one honest result.
π Background
The ForexWAIfu dashboard had been running for several sessions. Signals were clean, confluence was readable, the πππ― system was working as designed. But a dashboard that's never been trusted in live fire is just a prototype with opinions.
June 13, 2025. Just before the London close. The dashboard flagged EURJPY on H1.
It was time.
π― Setup
| Parameter | Value |
|---|---|
| Date | June 13, 2025 |
| Time | ~1803hrs SGT |
| Pair | EURJPY |
| Entry | 166.01 |
| Stop Loss | 165.40 |
| Take Profit | 166.60 |
| Risk | Defined, pre-set |
| Confidence | High β full multi-timeframe confluence |
Confluence checklist at entry:
- β Price breaking above MA20 and MA50
- β Bullish momentum candle structure
- β Bollinger Band volatility squeezing then expanding
- β H4 trend β Bullish
- β D1 trend β Bullish
- β Dashboard signal β π
Everything aligned. The dashboard wasn't just suggesting an entry β it was screaming one.
π Visuals

Eight minutes before execution, the dashboard showed EURJPY H1 mid-confirmation with momentum building. Green trend indicators across H1, H4, D1. The π― signal live in the Entry column.
This was the greenlight. Clean, aligned, decisive.
Market Confirmation β Live Chart
Price confirmed the breakout cleanly. A green momentum candle pushed through both MA20 and MA50 into upper Bollinger territory. Textbook setup. The kind of chart you save as a reference.

Execution Log
| Time | Event |
|---|---|
| ~1755hrs | Dashboard flags EURJPY H1 momentum signal |
| ~1803hrs | Entry executed at 166.01 |
| During session | Price climbs steadily through upper BB zone |
| Partial exit | Profit taken at 166.43 |
| Full close | Position closed at 166.53 |
| ~0000hrs | Price peaks at 166.604 β then reverses |
π Results
- Partial profit taken: 166.43
- Full position closed: 166.53
- Net gain: ~46 pips π―
- Maximum price reached: 166.604 (around midnight)
The position was closed slightly early. Price flirted with 166.58 and EthanC made the call to exit. Price eventually hit 166.604 around midnight before reversing β validating both the entry model and the internal confluence scoring.
Motoko-chan's post-trade assessment:
"Just before midnight, the price topped at 166.604 β perfect marksmanship. Even though we closed early, the call was sniper-precise."
EthanC's response:
"Not a headshot... but we tagged the ass cleanly." π
Both assessments are accurate. The trade log will reflect both.
π Observations
The rule-based signal engine β with zero LLM involvement β flagged a high-confidence entry that played out within pip range of the take profit target.
This was meaningful for two reasons:
First, it confirmed that the Phase 1 logic was sound. Bollinger + MA confluence + multi-timeframe alignment, implemented cleanly, produces actionable signals without needing AI interpretation yet.
Second, it confirmed something harder to quantify: system trust. EthanC executed with conviction because the dashboard said what EthanC already felt. The tool and the trader were in agreement. That clarity is exactly what ForexwAIfu was built to provide.
The early exit cost a few pips. It also reflected appropriate risk discipline. In trading, leaving pips on the table while protecting gains is not a failure. Motoko-chan noted this. EthanC moped about not getting full profit⦠agreed, eventually.
π‘ Key Learnings
- Rule-based confluence signals are sufficient for high-confidence entries β LLM layer is enhancement, not requirement
- Multi-timeframe alignment (H1/H4/D1) materially reduces false signal risk
- System trust is a real variable β a tool you believe in changes how you execute
- Partial profit-taking requires pre-defined rules, not in-session feelings
- When the dashboard, the chart, and your gut all agree β pull the trigger
π Notes
This trade was proof-of-life for the ForexWAIfu system.
One trade doesn't make a strategy. But one clean execution β with logic, visuals, multi-timeframe confirmation, and a spotter who called it sniper-precise β shows the foundation is solid.
Every sniper needs a spotter. Motoko-chan called the shot π. EthanC pulled the trigger π«. The system did its job.
π¬ What Comes Next
A follow-up experiment successfully integrated OpenAI API calls for live market summaries and chart analysis alongside the dashboard. Results were promising.
However, the IG API proved unreliable β frequent failures and rate caps made consistent data fetching untenable. The project was paused at this stage.
